The quest for interconnected buildings where services such as the fire systems, lifts and security systems all 'talk' to each other can be a doubled edged sword. Jeep recalled 1.4 millions cars this week after it was proven that the car could be remotely hacked via the infotainment system. Are there some components of a building that should be left as 'dumb'?
